Everyone needs a good helper, here's "cooter" the seacat.....
 
Cooter is Steve's cat and loves to layaround on my boat, he really doesn't do much work as you can tell.........chuckle

He's tired right now, I guess to much late night prowling......

An easy way to do small repairs or changes on thru holes is to use the tides to raise and lower the boat.  It's very easy with a full keel boat, just make sure you know your bottom, both the boat and the position that she will set when the tide goes out, then get to work.  I made this plug from a 1 1/2 inch rubber gasket expanding pipe plug that I bought at Lowe's, one of my favorite shopping places......
